It’s so over for literally titled gay movies – in fact, it’s over for all literally titled gay entertainment of any kind.

First it was Another Gay Movie, then the sequel. We’ve had The Big Gay Sketch Show and now The Big Gay Musical. Even gay porn’s getting in on the act with That 70′s Gay Porn Movie. Stop it now. As someone who runs a site called That Gay Movie Blog, I know what I’m talking about.

And whichever marketing person came up with the tagline for this movie really needs to clear their desk by Monday morning:

Sometimes being the person you’re not, helps you learn to love the person you are!

What the f**k does that mean?! Hardly up there with “love is a force of nature” or “If you can’t be famous, be infamous”. Bonus points for identifying these two mystery movies.

The Big Gay Musical is currently touring film festivals around the world. No word on a DVD release date yet.
