Micro coming out stories go HUGE
I’ve got the figure ‘140′ repeating over and over again in front of my eyes. The organisers of Norwich Gay Pride asked 140 people to write down and condense their coming out stories to 140 characters or less. Next they ran workshops lasting 140 minutes where people could turn their tweets into micro-movies.
The movies are being shown this month on Europe’s largest, permanent digital screen at the Forum in Norwich.
You can tweet your own coming out story here, or just read some of the others. This is my own experience reduced to 140 characters:
Mum, I’m gay.” “Yes, we know, son.” “How long have you known?” “Since you were 5 and you cried cos I bought you last season’s Barbie.” “Oh”
