Congratulations to Channing Tatum for another No. 1 movie at the Box Office; his new film, Dear John, knocking Avatar off the top spot in the U.S. over the weekend.

To celebrate, a pic of Channing looking thoughtful, shirtless and wet, but most importantly, shirtless… and wet.

…(Incidentally, why no allowing this movie’s trailer on Youtube, Sony? It’s a trailer, a piece of marketing, which unfortunately I can’t embed on this site and give you some free advertisting)…

Possibly in a move designed to appease for all the homophobic ‘gay’ jokes in his sketch show with James Corden (and his part in box office stinker, Lesbian Vampire Killers), Matthew Horne is playing gay in his next movie – or, is he?

Well, anyway, he’s set to act as Jon Moss, the drummer in ’80′s pop group Culture Club, in a new BBC TV biopic about Boy George. Jon and George were secretly an item at the height of the band’s success and it wasn’t until later years that Jon spoke about it, although he’s married with kids now.

And, finally, in a situation that has no one happy but the homophobes, the UK’s football governing body has “postponed” plans to unveil a newly created anti-homophobia ad at Wembley Stadium.

Out, gay, former NBA basketball player, John Amaechi, has seen the short film and wasn’t impressed: “incendiary” and “vulgar” are words he used in an interview with PinkNews.co.uk, before calling it an “expletive laden rant”.

It raises the question of whether using lots of anti-gay slurs in an ad aimed at stopping that sort of thing actually helps, or just gives the gay-haters more ammunition. Some people initially consulted on the project were hoping for something more positive.
