You’ll probably be seeing lots of movie news headlines this week saying “Robert Pattinson starring in Bel Ami movie.”

Now, before you get too excited, RPatz isn’t swapping Hollywood for the world of gay porn and his new movie has nothing to do with a certain Eastern European adult entertainment company.

Just-started-shooting movie, Bel Ami, is an adaptation of a late 19th Century French novel about a ruthlessly ambitious young reporter who sleeps his way to the top of Parisian society and manipulates a string of rich, influential women into helping him achieve power.

The lucky actresses signed up for a bit of corset-ripping with smouldering Rob in this sexy Euro drama include Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristen Scott Thomas.

I’m afraid Rob’s character in the movie, Georges Duroy, is strictly one for the ladies, so there’ll be no rerun of Little Ashes‘ gay romping, but, still, two hours of RPatz is still worth the ticket price.
