With Taylor Lautner still two days away from his 18th Birthday, I risk getting into trouble telling you about his new movie casting as a Hasbro toy character with extra flexible limbs – and it’s all to be filmed in super 3D!
The character is called Stretch Armstrong and was a big seller for Hasbro in the late ’70s. The only notable feature of Stretch seems to be that his limbs, well, stretch.
On his Wikipedia page it describes Stretch as a “well-muscled, blond man wearing a pair of swimming trunks,” so Taylor Lautner not an obvious choice, but then they’d already nabbed Channing Tatum for G.I. Joe.
Actually I find all the mouth-foaming about Taylor on certain gay blogs rather creepy – he’s just a kid after all.
I think Hasbro could have matched him up with a better toy product when they went rummaging through their factory skip for movie ideas – Taylor would be perfect casting in an Easy-Bake Oven movie: he’s a bit greasy, loved by teenage girls and just a flash in the pan.
