Gay film director Gregg Araki’s Cannes-shower KABOOM (do I have to do the caps lock every time?) has been getting mixed reviews (which basically means I don’t have time to read them, so I’m covering myself, but I’m sure it’s true).
This I do know: it’s weird; it’s a bit like Twin Peaks but sexier… on LCD… with underwear models; its very LGBQ inclusive; Thomas Dekker (Nightmare On Elm Street, Heroes) plays bi; it’s a return to Araki’s roots; and it’s a little bit sci-fi, a little bit horror and a lot trippy.
There’s some clips from this gay movie doing the rounds and I’ve embedded two of them. They’re both fairly SFW (unless you think there’s some innuendo in the line “so I grabbed hold of the knob”), but there is one clip that’s definitely NSFW – you can watch it here.
I actually think NSFW sounds like the title of a Gregg Araki movie – in fact I’m off to IMDB.com to see if it’s ever been made.
