So far it’s been a good month for gay marriage: nearly two-thirds of Irish voters want it; Obama is not going to fight against it and the UK Government is typing the place cards and readying the bouquet as we speak.

Of course not everyone is happy: take this gay panicked Australian dude who has a handy bunker left over from the Y2K disaster that never was. He plans to hole himself (and his long suffering girlfriend) up in it to avoid the coming Y2GAY disaster – just so long as us gays can’t get through steel doors…

Y2GAY was one of the finalists in this year’s Tropfest, the “world’s largest short film festival”. And while the filmmakers behind this funny short movie clearly had a lot of fun taking potshots at reactionary bigots, if you listen really carefully you can just about hear the sound of some fundamentalist nuts somewhere starting to dig their own cave.
