A good, short review, but the ending of the film is more than slightly clumsy. Yngve is left behind by Jarle in what appears to be a mental hosptal, while the latter resumes hanging around with his old friends, as if nothing had happened. That’s the depth and breadth of Norwegian cinema for you.

A shame the Norwegians can’t produce a film that doesn’t bear signs of having been put together by a feuding committee,

A remarkable feature is that most of the actors in “Mannen Som Elsket Yngve” are speaking Stavanger dialect, not standard Norwegian. This Norwegian speaker would gladly have seen subtitles (in the original Norwegian version), as the dialect can occasionally be incomprehensible to an outsider.

God, I hope this is a hoax. Take away Tatum’s singular expression in his movies and he’s just a glorified beefcake extra. Sodenbergh should retain his dignity and quit while he’s ahead.

Having been a part of this amazing crew, i can tell you it was an experience of a lifetime. J.T Tepnapa and Carlos Pedraza are remarkable. The cast, while not only smoking hot, are fantastic off and on screen. The electricity, the love, the care on screen carried off screen too. Best Film cast and Crew ever!! This is a must see movie!!
